Set up billing for your Canada Post Verified Account with Zonos

To complete verification, you must add billing details to your Zonos account. This enables Zonos—Canada Post's Qualified Party partner—to collect and remit duties for your U.S. shipments so your labels can be generated successfully.

Reminder: Access to the Zonos Dashboard and tools is free.
You only pay duties (remitted to CBP by Zonos) and the postal clearance/processing fee.

Why billing is required

New U.S. tariff changes require duties to be paid before packages leave Canada for shipments under $800 USD. To print U.S.-bound labels, your billing method must be approved.

Add your billing information

You'll be prompted to enter billing information immediately after completing your business details.

If you need to return later, go to: Zonos Dashboard → Settings → Billing

Payment method options

Zonos offers two payment options for automatic daily billing:

Credit card: Add a credit card for automatic billing. Credit card payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Bank account (EFT): Connect your bank account for automatic billing via Electronic Funds Transfer. This option eliminates credit card processing fees and removes payment threshold limitations that can cause failed transactions. Your bank information is never stored by Zonos—all financial data is securely handled by our payment partner, Airwallex, which is fully compliant with industry security standards.

Steps to activate your Verified Account

1. On the Dashboard homepage, click Add billing details.
2. Under Add a payment method, choose to either:
   1. Enter your credit card information, or
   2. Sign into your bank account to enable EFT payments
3. Under Billing details, enter:
   1. Name
   2. Email
   3. Phone
   4. Address
4. Click Save.

Once saved, your Zonos Account Key will automatically populate.

Keep a valid payment method on file. If your payment method fails, you will not be able to create Canada Post labels.
